Abstract

"Intentional Power begins by showing how the leadership skills of the past are no longer adequate for success in today's dynamic environment. The realities of cultural shifts, from external activist investors, employees, and communities, to the values chasm between generations as Gen Z joins the workforce, are explored as opportunities to apply new leadership skills. It will focus on the six competencies of modern leadership, which the authors dub the HEARTI® Leadership model (humility, empathy, accountability, resiliency, transparency, and inclusion) built by leveraging recent breakthroughs in cognitive and positive psychology, organizational design, performance management, and extensive research with leaders across numerous industries. It's been pressure tested since 2020 at Stanford University has been validated with thousands of leaders across a variety of industries, including tech, financial services, advertising, media, consumer packaged goods, and more through research and culture transformation work"--
