Acute poisoning constitutes a major cause of emergencies in Vietnam, especially in older people with
many risk factors. The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical characteristics and the treatment of
acute poisoning in older people admitted to Vietnam Poison Control Center (PCC). A retrospective descriptive
study was conducted at the PCC from January to August 2019 with 275 acute poisoned patients aged 60 and
over.
